Our Story
A Journey
from Quetta to Manchester
On December 23, 2020, in the quiet city of Quetta, amidst the global chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, a remarkable story of resilience, passion, and cultural pride began. A woman a devoted mother of two decided to follow a dream she had carried silently for years: to share the authentic flavors of the tribal belt of Baluchistan with the world.
Married young and rooted in family life, she had always nurtured a deep love for traditional tribal cuisine. She had no formal culinary training, no business experience, and limited resources only the rich knowledge passed down through generations and an unwavering determination to do something meaningful. When the world slowed down during the pandemic, she saw not a crisis, but an opportunity.
With her home kitchen as the launchpad and her heart full of hope, she started Tribal Restaurant a small, home-based food venture dedicated to serving authentic, soulful dishes from Baluchistan’s tribal regions. What set her apart wasn’t just the food, but the story behind each dish: flavors born in mountain villages, cooked over wood fires, and seasoned with love, heritage, and resilience.
Initial days were tough. From managing household duties to juggling customer orders, sourcing tribal ingredients, and facing skepticism, she encountered countless hurdles. But her commitment never wavered. Slowly but surely, Tribal Restaurant began to gain a loyal following. Locals were drawn to the authenticity, and soon, the buzz grew.
In 2023, her dedication bore fruit on a national scale. Competing with top culinary brands and chefs, she proudly won the Master Culinary Award, hosted by Unilever Food Solutions and National Foods a moment of pride not just for her, but for every woman who dares to dream beyond limitations.
By 2024, her vision expanded. Tribal Restaurant launched its first online franchise in Pakistan, bringing the taste of Baluchistan to tables across the country. Later that year, she broke international ground by opening a branch in the United Kingdom, introducing a new audience to the rich, earthy cuisine of her homeland.
Today, Tribal Restaurant is not just a brand it’s a symbol of hope, culture, and determination. It stands as a reminder that even in the darkest times, with courage and heart, a dream can rise from a home kitchen in Quetta to an international stage.
